Counselling Services Available to the General Public

The Rhodes Counselling Centre is a multidisciplinary online counselling and coaching centre that provides pro-bono services from senior student counsellors in the process of completing their Professional Counsellor Diploma or Professional Integrative Nutrition (Counselling) Diploma at Rhodes Wellness College. Both programs provide more than 1,700 hours of experiential training in various forms of counselling and coaching, including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. All senior students provide counselling and coaching services under the supervision of senior instructors.

When individuals residing in Canada, aged 16 and older, seek support through Rhodes Counselling Centre, we begin with an intake session to determine whether their needs fall within the scope of practice for a student counsellor. This initial session helps assess immediate concerns and ensures we can provide appropriate support.

If their needs align with our services, we carefully match them with a student counsellor, taking their preferences into account. If additional or alternative support is required, we will provide information on external resources.

Our student counsellors come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of skills and experiences to each session. They are committed to providing compassionate, client-centred support to individuals facing emotional, physical, and personal challenges. Sessions are conducted online, typically through the secure Jane App platform.
